All They Do Is Win No Matter What! Serena and Venus Williams Win Big at Wimbledon!

By Tonya F.

They’re baaaa-aaaack!  Mommies, you can now go back out and “re up” on those tennis lessons for your little girls because the Williams sisters are back in town. Tennis powerhouses, Serena and Venus Williams, claim their crowns once again at Wimbledon and remind us why they are a trailblazers in the game of tennis.

Winning the Ladies’ Doubles match Saturday, July 7th, at the Wimbledon Lawn Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Crochet Club in London, England, Serena and Venus defeat the ladies of the Czech Republic, accomplishing their fifth doubles crown. Serena brought multiple wins to this dynamic duo with a victory earlier in the day in the Women’s Singles competition against Agneiszka Radwanska of Poland.

If you are like me, you may have thought the reign of this superstar pair had come to an end. Serena and Venus Williams have been noticeably absent from several competitions they once dominated, both with injuries and Serena’s highly publicized rant during a match at the 2011 US Open where she berated the chair umpire after a disagreeable call. It was the third display of unsatisfactory behavior from the aggressive tennis player.
The tennis world could relax now with the fashionable, chocolate mega stars off the scene. But, they were not entirely off every scene.  Making a mark as savvy business woman, Serena and Venus Williams have taken their talents to the fashion industry finding success in ventures such as their clothing line, “Eleven” and Serena’s clothing line of tennis wear and jewelry.

But, don’t get it twisted! Serena and Venus show that they still thirst to be the best and remain two of the greatest and most distinctive competitors in the game of tennis. You may snap them at the hottest night spots and peep them adorned with some of Hollywood’s best of the best on their arms, but on the tennis court at Wimbledon, it was all business and trust me their opponents got served!
