Rick Ross Paternity Drama Unfolds; Rapper Denies He Fathered Child

Rapper Rick Ross is involved in a paternity dispute with a Georgia woman, who claims he fathered her son.

A 36-year-old woman named Tyrisha Childers filed the paternity suit against Rick Ross in Broward County, Florida, reports.

The woman claims that Ross fathered her three-year-old child and is not paying up.

Childers says she has a zero income, aside from a $694 per month disability payment.

But Rick Ross has already filed a response to Childers’ paternity claims and denies he’s the father of her child.

The rapper is seeking a DNA test to prove that he is not the father.

Legal documents filed on behalf of the rapper claim that he never even slept with the woman.

Representatives for Rick Ross were not available as of press time.

Jay-Z's 40/40 Club Closed For Food Safety Violations Shortly After Reopening

Shortly after the reopening of his 40/40 Club in New York City, New York, Jay-Z is now dealing with the closure of his swanky sports bar.

According to NY Post (via HHW), Hov’s Big Apple franchise has been shut down due to food safety violations. The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the bar with 69 violation points, with critical violations including workers not using proper utensils to eliminate bare hand contact with food, insufficient or no refrigerated or hot holding equipment and more.

“If you have a walk-in place with food like this, you put a hell of a lot of people at risk,” an anonymous source said. “A night of dinner and dancing should not include the risk of contracting food-borne illness.”

The 40/40 Club reopened the previous evening (Jan. 18th), with celebrities including Warren Buffett, Swizz Beatz and DJ Khaled appearing to support the event

OUCH!! Kobe Bryant To Lose 3 Mansions In $75 Million Divorce Property Settlement

It wasn't much of a surprise, but i'm sure it didn't make it an easier pill to swallow.

Last month the news broke that NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his wife of almost 11 years Vanessa were getting divorced.

Without having a prenup in place, Kobe was set to lose half of his assets.

But what exactly is half you say?

Well today TMZ reports that in a divorce property settlement just reached, Vanessa is walking away with $75 million which equals roughly half of Kobe's estimated $150 million fortune.

Included in that settlement are three mansions located in the Newport Beach area. Vanessa gets the estate the couple was living in, the estate her mom is living in, and she gets the new estate that had been under construction for 2 years and was just completed.

Vanessa has filed for joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5, court documents show.

She has hired noted divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has worked with Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and, most recently, Maria Shriver and Kim Kardashian.

Kobe, who filed his response to the divorce minutes after Vanessa filed her petition, says he will pay her spousal support.

The couple released a joint statement saying they have resolved all issues privately, with the assistance of counsel.

A final settlement is not expected to be filed in Orange County Superior Court until next year.

Look on the bright side,,at least the NBA season wasn't cancelled Kobe!!

Featured Artist

FIRST STRING TV sits down with this weeks featured artist, Bronx native K.O.V.E. He lets us know more about him and his plans for 2012.

FSTV: How did you come up with the name K.O.V.E.?
K.O.V.E: It stems from my last name which is Covington. I did time in the military and when people don’t like saying the whole name they shorten it. I wasn’t going change it up. I wanted a meaning behind it to fit my style of music so I changed the spelling and   made it a acronym and that’s how you get Knowledge Of a Versatile Entertainer.

FSTV: What would you say is the driving force behind your music?
K.O.V.E.: Outside of the fact that I just love music, it’s an outlet. Pain, struggle, and it’s fun.

FSTV: Out of the all the artist in the game, who would you compare yourself to?
K.O.V.E.: I wouldn’t compare myself to anyone. Of course there is a influence but not just one Artist has influenced what I do. So there is no comparison.

FSTV: What is the biggest misconception about you?
K.O.V.E.: Good question…I don’t know…Probably that I’m more confident than I am humble. I’ll say I am just as humble as I am confident.

FSTV: If we heard people on the street talking about K.O.V.E., what should we hear?
K.O.V.E.: Musically, he’s different, as a person, he is a well grounded, loyal, stand up dude.

FSTV: Did you make any new year’s resolutions?
K.O.V.E.: Never make em. I don’t believe In waiting for the new year to start a new beginning.

FSTV: Do you have any other hobbies other than music?
K.O.V.E.: Basketball, Research, Chilling with fam and most of all traveling.

FSTV: What steps are you taking to build your fan base?
K.O.V.E.: Besides Flooding every music internet website, performing In different states, reaching out to all bloggers and internet radio, collabs with other artists, even In different genre’s of music.

FSTV: What would you say has been your biggest road block in the game so far?
K.O.V.E.: Getting my music in the right pool of people. I will take blame as well. I took a long hiatus, almost a 5 year break from music.

FSTV: Why should people pay to see K.O.V.E. perform?
K.O.V.E.: 1st its good music, second I come to perform. I don’t just stand on stage and hold my nuts.  It’s energetic, interactive, its dope. After I take you on a high with the performance, I bring you back down with one of the dopest acapella sets you will ever hear.

FSTV: What should we expect from you in 2012?
K.O.V.E.: More good music. I can tell you already if you watch HBO you will hear K.O.V.E. music. I am about business first. More collabs. I really only work solo but I’m trying to branch out to other respected artists. Once I gauge what my fan base is like I can better answer this but I will tell you I’m working on getting to that BET cypher.

FSTV: Why should you be considered a “First String” artist?
K.O.V.E.: I am a total package artist. Very seasoned. Music is dope, personality crazy, charisma, off the hook, the story is very relatable. Refer to the name. K.O.V.E. there was a purpose behind that. It was my way of saying there isn’t anything I can’t do with this music.
