Nicki Minaj Lands Nail Polish Deal

Rapper Nicki Minaj is expanding her brand with a new deal that will see her line of nail polish products coming to stores in 2012.

The Young Money rap star has inked a deal with OPI to launch the Nicki Minaj OPI Nail Lacquer Collection, a line of nail polishes slated to land in stores next year.

Each color in the new nail polish line is named after one of Nicki Minaj’s songs.

Nicki Minaj’s fans can buy nail polishes like “Metal 4 Life,” “Fly,” “Save Me,” “Did It On Em,” and “Super Bass Shatter.”

“Now you can now have Nicki Minaj at your fingertips, literally,” the rapper posted on her official website. “Nicki has teamed up with OPI Nail Lacquer bringing lots of cute & fun colors for the barbz mittens.”

This is the second cosmetic deal for the chart topping rapper, who also released a limited edition “Pink Friday” line of lipstick with M.A.C last year.

Although an exact release date was not available, sources stated that the nail polish would be sold in Sephora, as well as other cosmetic retailers and department stores.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Jim Jones Loses One!

I don’t know if you all know about this, but Jim Jones has had the same manager – Yandy Smith – for as long as I can remember. I’m sure you can imagine, and I’m pretty sure, that Jim is a lot to deal with. I heard Yandy has opted not to deal any more and has DROPPED Jim Jones as a client! Now, is reporting that the two may have had a fist fight or something! OOPS, I almost messed up…Yandy and Chrissy may have tussled. I didn’t report it before, but Chrissy beat up Juelz’s girl too – Kimbella. I love me some Kimbella! LMAO! Here is what theYBF is saying:

Sources tell us that Chrissy and newbie “Love & Hip Hop” co-star Yandy, who was Jim Jones’ manager, are at each others’ necks!

Yandy’s rep confirmed to that she indeed recently dropped Jim Jones as a client after working with him for seven years. The rep also said it was due in part to the ongoing beef with Jimmy’s girlfriend, Chrissy. Apparently the two don’t see eye-to-eye on Jim’s career, and they beef constantly.

Suge Knight To Help Waka Flocka’s Career

Waka Flocka will be getting a hand from Suge Knight to help him take his career to the next level, according to a recent interview.

Knight, the former head of Death Row Records, will help Waka build his brand, his company Brick Squad Monopoly and get him movie deals, according to an interview with XXL.

“It’s valid. It ain’t no rumors. It’s what it is,” Waka told XXL on working with Knight. “You gotta really start pulling in people in the game who know the game. Suge is not the only one. I’ma start snatching in the real ones. Suge helped me get a good movie deal. Now I need to get on the TV screen. Ain’t nothing wrong with fuckin’ with some Gs. I f**k with Master P too. They’re just good for information, homie.”

Waka clarified that he was hoping to further shape his own entertainment identity, not follow in some very famous footprints.

“He’s helping me oversee the company,” Waka continued. “I’m not trying to be ‘Pac, I’m not trying to be Death Row. I’m Brick Squad Monopoly. My mother is still my manager. I ain’t changing shit. It is what it is. But it’s like having Jordan and Kobe. Why not play with both?”

He said his main goal was to become a better business man and Knight would be one means to that end.

“F**k accomplishing goals as a artist,” he said. “I wanna accomplish goals as a CEO now. That’s the s**t I’m on right now.”

Too $hort Sued Over Alleged Groping Incident

Oakland, California rap legend Too $hort has been hit with a lawsuit by a woman who claims he grabbed her breasts during a concert.

The incident allegedly took place in March, during a concert that Too $hort held at Yoshi’s Jazz Club in San Francisco.

The 41-year-old woman, Kenya Winston, claims that Too $hort made vulgar comments to her while performing.

He then allegedly reached off the stage and grab her breasts during the concert.

According to the San Francisco Gate, Winston filed a police report against Too $hort four days after the concert, but police declined to press charges.

“Ms. Winston is a hardworking mother who just wanted to treat herself to a fun night out,” said Kenya Winston’s Daniel Dean. “What Too did was reprehensible and our goal is to hold him accountable.”

Too $hort’s attorney refused to comment.

Lil Wayne Details Plans For Retiring At 35

Rapper Lil Wayne recently detailed his plans for retirement in the November issue of GQ Magazine.

Lil Wayne and Eminem are featured on the cover of the new issue, which lands and stores in stores this month.

In the magazine’s “Music Issue” which also features Eminem and Rolling Stones founding member Keith Richards on the cover, Lil Wayne explains what his life will be like, when he retires at the age of 35.

“I feel like I’ll be a new me, and how good is that? To actually be opening a brand-new door of life at 35? That’d be awesome. Totally awesome. I’m looking forward to it,” Lil Wayne told the magazine about his retirement plans.

The rapper, who has been forced to live a sober life due to the terms of his probation for gun possession charges, said that going to jail was the best thing for him, in terms of beating his addiction to a number of hard-core drugs, including “syrup,” which is a mixture of promethazine, Kool-Aid, soda or sweet candy.

“It just helped me on my way, helped me with life,” Lil Wayne told GQ. “Cleared me up, cleaned me up, opened my eyes to things. I definitely thank God for that moment instead of looking at it as a problem or a bad situation. I needed it.”

In related news, Lil Wayne recently became the first artist in history to land six #1 singles on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Radio Airplay Chart in just one year.

Bone Thugs Hit With Lawsuit Over Tour Bus Altercation

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were hit with a lawsuit yesterday (October 19), over an incident on their tour bus in Chicago in June.

A Chicago man filed the lawsuit in Cook County court yesterday, claiming that group member Bizzy Bone assaulted him.

The group was in town for a concert at the Congress Theater on June 10, when the incident unfolded.

According to the Chicago Tribune,
Joseph E. Zeidel paid $80 to a tour manager so he could meet the group with other fans on the tour bus.

Things went awry when they ended up in a confrontation with Bizzy Bone, for unknown reasons.

According to the lawsuit, as the two men attempted to leave the bus, Bizzy struck one of the men multiple times in the face and head, knocking him to the ground.

No one was arrested in the incident, although Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, the Congress Theater and the concert promoters of the event are named in the lawsuit.

The Coming of Age of Diggy Simmons

It’s not easy being a Simmons. Just ask Daniel Dwayne, better known to the entertainment and music industries as “Diggy.” Hot on the heels of a major label signing with Atlantic Records, 16-year-old New York rapper Diggy has been working day and night to stay in the public eye and, more specifically, to stay tied to the fans he hopes will support his debut release later this year. He has spent countless hours on the road touring all while putting the finishing touches on his untitled debut.

The legacy and history of the Simmons family is synonymous with Hip-Hop, which makes these recent moments all the more meaningful and special for Diggy. He has no time for the haters, of which he has many, as a new artist and a Simmons. He radiates honesty, realness, and humility, and he doesn’t seem to be trying to be someone or something he’s not. According to him, Diggy is Diggy, and that is what everyone needs to know about the teenage rapper.
