Exclusive: Cam’ron And Queen Latifah Form New Film Company, Producing New Flick Starring Rapper

Cam’ron has formed a new joint venture with Queen Latifah and business partner Shakim Compere, that will produce a new flick starring the Harlem, New York, rapper.

The new company, name KFU Productions, is a new joint venture between Cam and his longtime partner Jacob York’s Killa Films and Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Films.

The two companies have joined forces to produce a new movie titled “Percentages” that will feature Cam’ron in the starring role.

The movie centers around two New York hustlers on the run from a drug deal gone bad.

“Ant” and “Carter” move south to Miami. The pair are not content to lay low with family, so the long time partners quickly build a new empire in the world of credit fraud.

As the business grows, so does the unwanted attention from law enforcement and Miami’s most notorious criminals.

“Cam did the story, and then we brought in a writer to really tighten the script,” Jacob York told AllHipHop.com. “The movie was originally supposed to be the follow up to Killa Season, but we decided to make a brand new movie since the script was so good.”

Cam has the lead role in “Percentages,” which also boasts a number of high-profile co-stars, including Ving Rhames, Macy Gray, Donnell Rawlings, Melinda Williams, K.D. Aubert, Omar Gooding, Robert Wisdom, and others.

The movie is being shot on location predominantly in Miami, as well New York, where Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere recently relocated their Flavor Unit company.

“Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere have a soundstage here in Miami and this is first film that they are developing on the new soundstage, in conjunction with the KFU Production company,” Jacob York told AllHipHop.com. “Our aim is to develop high quality film projects over the next 24 months.”

Additionally, Cam’ron will create and oversee the soundtrack to “Percentages,” which is slated for a nationwide theatrical in 2012.

Johnny Depp Explains Bumpy Ride Of 'Lone Ranger'

Much like the unforgivable and unpredictable nature of the American Old West, the plight of Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski's big-screen adaptation of "The Lone Ranger" has been quite a bumpy ride.

The film got the green light earlier this year, with Depp settled into the role of Tonto and Armie Hammer selected to play the Ranger. Then in August, Disney put a halt on the production with claims that the budget was too big. Just this week, negotiations ended on a happy note, with the production back in full swing and a tentative start date scheduled for early next year.

MTV News caught up with Depp as he promoted "The Rum Diary," which opens October 28, to find out why "Ranger" is so important to him and why the budget became such a big issue for the studio bigwigs.

"I like the character. I think I have interesting plans for the character, and I think the film itself could be entertaining and very funny," he said. "But also I like the idea of having the opportunity to make fun of the idea of the Indian as a sidekick — which has always been [the case] throughout the history of Hollywood, the Native American has always been a second-class, third-class, fourth-class citizen, and I don't see Tonto that way at all. So it's an opportunity for me to salute Native Americans."

With regard to the back-and-forth budget talks with the studio, Depp admitted that he and director Verbinski knew they'd be in for some negotiating from the get-go, but they also planned to be patient.

"We knew that the budget was going to be huge initially, and we also knew that it was going to be shut down for a while, and it was kind of like we patiently wait — we shave a little bit here, we do a little bit there, [and] they fix it."

Drake Admits To Being Hurt By Rihanna. Reveals He Would Marry Nicki Minaj "Nicki Would Understand & Love Me"

Two years after his fling with Rihanna fizzled out Drake is still licking his wounds.

The two superstars dated briefly following Riri's break up with then-boyfriend Chris Brown. Rihanna eventually moved on to a more serious relationship with baseball player Matt Kemp, leaving Drizzy out in the cold.

"At the time it hurt, but she didn't mean to," Drake told Elle magazine in their new issue. "I'll never put that on her. I was hurt because I slowly started to realize what it was. I guess I thought it was more. That was the first girl with any fame that paid me any mind. You spend days reading about this person in magazines. All of a sudden you have this number-one song and you're at some birthday party and there she is. And you're just some naive kid from Toronto staying in some sh*tty-ass hotel who got invited to this party on a whim. That's just how it happened."

Rihanna hasn't talked much publicly about dating Drake other than to say it was bad timing.

"It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn't want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time," the singer told The BoomBox last year.

For now Drake seems to have his eyes set on his Young Money label mate, Nicki Minaj. The two of them pretended to get married via Twitter last year.

"I don't know if we were really pretending. I'd marry Nicki. I think Nicki would be one of the only people that would understand me at the end of all of this and be able to love me

Reports: Ali suing former homeowners

Muhammad Ali and his wife, Yolanda, are suing the couple who sold them their Louisville, Ky., mansion, according to multiple reports.

Ali and his wife claim that the former homeowners, Patrick and Beverly Lancaster, lied to them about problems with the eastern Jefferson County home. The problems were discovered after moving in.

The lawsuit states that the Alis were not informed of roof and chimney leaks, poor insulation, improper ventilation and mold.

Ali also says the Lancasters were well aware of these issues but still sold the home.

The Alis purchased the home in 2007.
